Hello World
Hello World 👋
Welcome to Code Story — a new way to write and review pull requests that actually make sense to humans.
We started Code Story because something was broken.
Why Are Code Reviews So Painful?
Code reviews often feel like a formality. You get a pull request, open the diff, and you’re dumped into an alphabetical file list with no idea where to start. Maybe there’s a thoughtful comment from the author. Maybe there’s not. Either way, you’re left piecing together what happened and why — like decoding a mystery novel without the first chapter.
We wanted to change that.
Our Goals with Code Story
1. Make code reviews more usable
PRs shouldn’t feel like a scavenger hunt. With Code Story, we treat every review like a narrative — giving reviewers the why before the what.
2. Help you follow the logic, not just the files
Jumping file-by-file in alphabetical order is a terrible way to understand a feature. Code Story presents the flow of changes in a way that mirrors how humans think and how code evolves.
3. Show how your work affects your team
We believe engineers should understand how their changes impact others. Our goal is to help surface those connections, so you see where time is spent and who’s affected.
4. Help engineers get feedback that matters
Not just “LGTM” or nitpicks — real, actionable insight. When the story is clear, the feedback gets better.
5. Save time with AI-powered storytelling
Engineers should spend more time coding, less time explaining. We use AI to auto-generate summaries and context that save you time and make your work easier to understand.
This is Just the Beginning
We're still early — and we’re building Code Story in collaboration with real teams who care about better code, better feedback, and better storytelling.
Thanks for being here. Can’t wait to hear what you think.
