1. Introduction
Welcome to Code Story. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Code Story website, services, and applications (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the Terms, you may not access the Service.
2. Definitions
"Code Story", "we", "us", or "our" refers to the company operating the Service.
"You" or "your" refers to the individual or entity using our Service.

4. GitHub Integration
Our Service integrates with GitHub to analyze code repositories. By connecting your GitHub account:
- You grant us permission to access and analyze repositories you explicitly authorize
- You confirm you have the right to grant this access to these repositories
- You understand we will store necessary data to provide our services
- You can revoke access at any time through your account settings or GitHub's authorization settings
5. User Content and Conduct
You retain ownership of any User Content you submit through the Service. By providing User Content, you grant Code Story a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, copy, modify, adapt, publish, transmit, and display such content for the purposes of providing and improving the Service.
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Upload or transmit any Content that violates applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
- Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other malicious code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
- Engage in any activity that interferes with or disrupts the Service
- Harass, abuse, or harm another person
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
6. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content (excluding User Content), features, and functionality are owned by Code Story and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws.
You may not duplicate, copy, or reuse any portion of the HTML, CSS, JavaScript, visual design elements, or concepts without express written permission from Code Story. The Code Story name and logo are trademarks of Code Story.
7. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CODE STORY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, SERVICE INTERRUPTION, COMPUTER DAMAGE OR SYSTEM FAILURE, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
IN NO EVENT WILL CODE STORY'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL DAMAGES, LOSSES, OR CAUSES OF ACTION EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID TO CODE STORY IN THE LAST SIX (6) MONTHS, OR, IF GREATER, ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. CODE STORY EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
CODE STORY MAKES NO WARRANTY THAT THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS, BE AVAILABLE ON AN UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE BASIS, OR THAT THE RESULTS FROM THE USE OF THE SERVICE WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.
9. Service Modifications and Termination
Code Story reserves the right to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, the Service (or any part thereof) with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service.
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including without limitation if you breach the Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree to submit to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in San Francisco, California.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Code Story and its licensors, service providers, employees, agents, officers, and directors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms or your use of the Service.
12. Feedback and Suggestions
Any feedback, comments, ideas, improvements, or suggestions provided by you to Code Story with respect to the Service shall remain the sole and exclusive property of Code Story. Code Story shall be free to use, copy, modify, publish, or redistribute the feedback for any purpose without compensation to you.
13. Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Code Story regarding our Service, and supersede and replace any prior agreements we might have between us regarding the Service.
14. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
By continuing to access or use our Service after revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, you are no longer authorized to use the Service.
